What God is doing at Revolution

Love when I get these. Hearing about what God is doing in people’s lives pumps me up and reminds me why I do what I do and why I love it. Below is a note (shared with permission):

Hi Katie and Josh,

You don’t need to respond to this, I just wanted to tell you how deeply moved I was by Saturday’s service, I related to a lot of the content and your story of God’s calling truly spoke to me.

I have talked to Josh about this a little. I moved to Arizona with little more than the certainty that God wanted me to be here. I didn’t have any loved ones with me. Many people that I loved even discouraged me from accpeting the job I took here because it pays me poverty level wages. My family doesn’t support or understand my path with Christ, it’s much easier to work God in the comfort of making more than $11,000 per year. The move has not been easy, and at times, I wonder if I’m doing the right thing. But I wanted to let you know that I have found a sense of home and groundedness in going to church at Revolution. I truly feel reassured and okay with the life I’m living now whenever I hear about the human struggle of walking with God at church.

I just wanted to say “thank you” for keeping Jesus an active part of my life and keeping Christianity a real and present source of strength in my life and the lives of others in Tucson.
