I have been a huge fan of the band Live for over a decade. They are from the town I grew up in, so I have vivid memories of seeing them rock out in front of a crowd of 50 people. They are one of those bands that has continued to get better through the years.
Even though their singer Ed Kowalczyk has gotten into more eastern religions, I have always been blown away by the depth of their lyrics and the feelings in their music.
I recently picked up their newest album, Songs from Black Mountain, and it is by far their best album yet. Again, they do not disappoint, as they are incredibly talented and Ed still has things to say within their lyrics. The first time I heard this album, I was blown away and even after a few months with it, still feel the same. I am so glad they are still together, sounding the same, raising the issues they have always raised.
Below are a few videos:
Heaven: In this song, whether they know it or not, they are saying what Paul says in Romans 1:19.
There are so many spiritual things within these songs, so many opportunities to talk with people about where God is in culture. Click here to see another post I have on this topic of finding God in our culture.
