Reading & Preaching the Bible Missionally – Day 2

Today was an interesting discussion on how to see the Bible missionally, and what the mission of God is. We also watched a lecture that Scot McKnight gave on the gospel (which can you view here), which was a stretching idea in thinking about the gospel. Here are my notes from today.

We also read through a paper “The gospel & the God-Forsaken:  The Challenge of the Missional Church in Suburbia” by Todd Hiestand. It is a great paper, definitely worth checking out.

Tomorrow, we will be doing a missional church venture into center city Philly, which is going to be awesome. So I won’t have notes to post until Thursday.

Tonight, I’m heading to Lancaster to be with Katie and the kids and go to the Ephrata fair, should be a good time.
