What a Pastor Loves to Hear

Often, a pastor will only get feedback when things aren’t going well. This is true of all leaders, we never compliment the President, but when he says something stupid and it gets on SNL, we make comments.

This past week, I had 3 couples look me in the eye and say, “I know you are taking a lot of arrows recently, tell us where to stand so we can take some arrows with you.” Even as I write that line, I get teared up. Those are the kinds of people that pastors kill to have in their churches (not literally), but you get the point. People who will stand by them through thick and thin to help make a vision come to reality. Thanks to those people, you have no idea how much that meant to me and Katie.
